North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service is consulting on its Community Risk Management Plan (2025-2029), which outlines how it will use its people, vehicles, and equipment to keep communities safe.

Proposals include:

• Changes to automatice fire alarm respnse
• Reducing water bowser vehicles
• Enhancing training and reviewing station

The consultation is open until 7 Septembers 2025.

Due to the forecasted high temperatures this week, North Yorkshire Council's rubbish and recycling collections will start an hour earlier than usual. 

Any residents still due a collection this week are advised to put their bins out by 5am, instead of 6am.
